Lane Reductions in Cerritos and Lakewood for Pipeline Modernization Project Expected to Begin March 25
Crews are expected to work in the area for approximately four months

WHAT: SoCalGas will be performing a pipeline modernization project on Del Amo Boulevard in the area of the 605 Freeway, in Lakewood and Cerritos, between Palo Verde Avenue and Los Coyotes Boulevard.  Work is expected to begin on March 25 and continue through July 2019.

To perform this pipeline work safely, one eastbound and one westbound lane will be closed on Del Amo Boulevard, between Palo Verde Avenue and Los Coyotes Boulevard throughout most of the project. Del Amo Boulevard and all cross streets will remain open, but some cross streets and driveways will permit right turns only. Freeway on-ramps and off-ramps are expected to remain open at all times.

Traffic control cones and flaggers will help direct the flow of traffic. Residents, local businesses, and commuters may hear work-related noise and see excavation equipment and vehicles.

Businesses will be open and accessible during construction. No interruption to natural gas service is anticipated.

Customers may smell the odor of natural gas. Although this is normal when crews are working, SoCalGas encourages anyone who smells gas to call us at 1-800-427-2200. SoCalGas is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
