Traffic Advisory: Lane Reductions and Traffic Delays Expected in Arroyo Grande Starting October 23
SoCalGas crews will work to modernize natural gas pipeline in the area through April 2018 Project is part of a multi-billion-dollar safety enhancement program

WHAT: Starting on October 23, SoCalGas will be performing a pipeline replacement project in Arroyo Grande. To perform this modernization project safely and to minimize traffic congestion, crews are expected to work on the natural gas pipeline along West Branch Street near the intersection of Rodeo Drive on Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m.
On other streets, crews will perform work on Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.:
Traffic lanes may be reduced to one lane in each direction and parking restrictions will be in effect. During work hours, commuters passing by the work site will see excavation, equipment and vehicles. Traffic control officers, traffic cones and digital signage will help direct the flow of traffic near the work sites. On U.S. Highway 101, a message board at the off-ramps for Halcyon Road will alert commuters about potential traffic delays at that exit.
No interruption to natural gas service is anticipated.
Customers may smell the odor of natural gas. Although this is normal when crews are working, SoCalGas encourages anyone who has concerns about the smell of gas to call us from a safe location at 1-800-427-2200. SoCalGas is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
