The Great Place to Work Institute today announced that Chilquinta, a subsidiary of Sempra Pipelines & Storage, has been named one of the “Best Places to Work” in Chile -- a distinction that further validates the utility’s long-standing reputation as an exemplary business entity in the region.
Chilquinta Energía is an electric distribution utility serving approximately 600,000 customers in the cities of Valparaiso and Vina del Mar in central Chile.
The Great Place to Work Institute defines a great place to work as “a place in which you trust the people you work for, have pride in what you do, and enjoy the people you interact with.”
Employees from 195 Chilean companies participated in the Great Place to Work Institute’s survey that ranks companies based on credibility, respect, fairness and pride.
Marcelo Luengo, Interim General Manager of Chilquinta, accepted the award on behalf of the company. “It’s extremely gratifying to be chosen as one of the best places to work in Chile based on our own employees’ feedback,” said Luengo. “These results demonstrate the consistency that exists between our plans, our principles and the recognition from our co-workers.”
