         SAN DIEGO, Dec. 18, 2009 – The board of directors of Sempra Energy (NYSE:SRE) today declared a quarterly dividend of 39 cents per share of common stock.  The current dividend is payable Jan. 15, 2010, to shareholders of record on Dec. 30, 2009.
